Job summary

System One is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop custom plastic extrusion machinery and systems. The role includes creating detailed drawings, coordinating with vendors, and supporting documentation development while ensuring project schedules and budgets are met.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 3–5 years of machinery design experience, with proficiency in Creo and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 3–5 years of machinery design experience preferred.
• Strong foundation in electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic drives and actuators is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop custom plastic extrusion machinery and systems.
• Assist Project Manager in timely release of mechanical documentation to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Identify new technologies and market segments; develop competitive programs and machine features to increase market share and meet customer demands.
• Create conceptual designs and analyses to ensure compliance with project specifications and provide system-focused solutions.
• Participate in design reviews with stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Field Service.
