Magnolia Medical Technologies is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Seattle. This full-time role involves developing revolutionary devices for critical in-vitro diagnostic tests. Candidates should have expertise in injection-molded plastics and be hands-on in prototyping and testing.

The successful individual will work independently, leading projects to design and implement innovative solutions aimed at improving patient outcomes and enhancing clinical efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years for senior-level candidates or 3-6+ years for intermediate-level candidates.
• Strong knowledge of prototyping methods.
• Medical device background with practical grasp of FDA Quality System Regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead collaboration to develop new medical devices.
• Design and test products, support market release.
• Engage with healthcare professionals for user-centric designs.

Skills

Expertise in high-volume injection-molded plastics design

Experience with mechanisms and seals

Prototyping know-how

Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software

Knowledge of fluid mechanics and/or microfluidics

Competence in statistical methods

Effective use of Root Cause Analysis tools

Experience with LabVIEW

Experience with Python or C/C++

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
