Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer Level 4 to join the Annapolis, MD team. You will develop launcher hardware designs, create solid models, and work with stakeholders to balance technical, schedule, and cost requirements.

Requirements include a STEM degree with years of experience, strong machine design skills, CAD proficiency (NX/CREO/SolidWorks), and a US citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Travel up to 10% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 8 years relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree with 6 years; or PhD with 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in machine design and drawing generation.
• Ability to plan tasks and execute to the established schedule.
• Onsite 4 days a week; remote work is not an option for this role.
• US citizenship required; ability to obtain & maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

The Marine Systems organization, part of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, is searching for Mechanical Design Engineers in support of rapid growth in the Launcher Hardware organization. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
