Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering with ≥2 years completed.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in engineering coursework.
• Fundamentals of engineering concepts strong.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) preferred.

In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to assist in the design, testing, and optimization of Electro-Mechanical actuators. Mechanical Design Engineer Intern

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

• Perform basic engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, test and/or product assurance tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project. Ensures tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance requirements
• Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements
• Provide support for multiple projects working closely with the engineering team
• May independently evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with at least two years completed at an accredited college or university
• Strong academic performance, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in engineering courses
• Solid understanding of engineering concepts and fundamentals
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is preferred
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Effective multi-tasking skills with a keen attention to detail
