Job summary

ESPEC North America (ENA) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Department. You will design sheet metal parts and assemblies, create drawings, and release modifications to ENA chamber models while following ISO standards.

Requires Associate's in Engineering or related coursework; Bachelor’s preferred. Proficiency in Inventor/AutoCAD and basic ERP concepts is expected to support BOM structures and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or coursework with hands-on design experience.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal parts and assemblies.
  • Proficiency in Inventor/AutoCAD and basic ERP concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Design sheet metal parts, build assemblies and drawings per standards.
  • Design and release a basic modification to a chamber model.
  • Understand BOM structures and ERP basics.
  • Follow problem-solving processes and ISO standards.
  • Apply design for manufacturing within facility limits.

Exciting news! We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Department.

Working Schedule

Monday - Friday | 8AM - 5PM,

$66,490 - $74,672

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ability to design sheet metal parts, build assemblies and associated drawings using engineering best practices.
  • Designs and releases a basic custom modification to a standard ENA chamber model.
  • Understands Bill of Material structures and basic ERP function.
  • Understands and uses the ENA problem-solving process.
  • Follows engineering group procedures and ISO standards.
  • Understands design for manufacturing & assembly, within the limitations of our manufacturing facility.
  • Works under supervision.
  • Regular, physical attendance is required.
    Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree in Engineering or current enrollment in an Engineering degree program required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the production shop.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficiency with Inventor/Autocad in the following areas:
