Job summary

Mechanicaldesigndirectory is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for electro-mechanical design and maintenance of mechanical functionality for marketed systems, alongside future mechanical design development.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering, at least 5 years of experience, and fluency in both German and English is mandatory.

Qualifications

Job description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the electro‑mechanical design and for the ongoing maintenance of the mechanical functionality of the currently marketed systems as well as for the development of future mechanical design within the product group.

Responsibilities

• New development and maintenance of electro‑mechanical systems according to international standards.
• Creating documentation and test specifications in accordance with internal operating procedures and documentation templates.
• Revise and create FMEAs and risk analysis.
• Develop applicable engineering tests to ensure reliability, safety and efficacy.
• Cooperation in the development and production of our OEM partners.
• Coordination of external projects and the transfer of the development in production.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree (Bachelor or Master) as a Mechanical / Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent academic degree.
• At least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the medical environment (FDA, MDD u. ISO).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook).
• Extensive experience in the CAD development using ProEngineer / Wildfire / Creo.
• Knowledge of the IEC 60601 series (medical standard) desirable.
• Personal responsibility and ability to work independently.
• Fluency in German and English required.
