Job summary

Halliburton, a global leader in energy services, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Houston. You will assist in analysis, design, and testing of products for engineering projects, applying materials knowledge and design calculations to support development and improvements.

You will collaborate with field operations and manufacturing, contribute to reliability, HSE and quality, and participate in cost containment and performance initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Ability to analyze test results and assist in resolving field and manufacturing challenges.
  • Understanding of Reliability, HSE, and Quality principles.
  • Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the analysis, modification, and design of products and services for assigned engineering projects.
  • Apply knowledge of materials, components, and their applications to support product development and improvement efforts.
  • Prepare design calculations and specifications
  • Develop test procedures, conduct product testing, and analyze test results to support design validation and performance improvements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, quality, and operational performance.
  • Incorporate Reliability, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and Quality principles throughout the engineering design process.
  • Contribute to projects that directly impact cost containment, operational efficiency, profitability, and overall business performance.

Job Duties
