Job summary

Remote People Ltd. in Central Wisconsin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design custom machinery and automated equipment for North America. You will own the full lifecycle from concept through fabrication, testing, and delivery, using SolidWorks to create detailed assemblies and BOMs.

Ideal candidates have a Mechanical Engineering degree, strong SolidWorks experience, and a hands-on approach to solve complex automation challenges with minimal bureaucracy and direct leadership access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical background.
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and creating mechanical assemblies.
• Hands-on problem-solving mindset with ability to work across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design custom machinery and automated equipment using SolidWorks.
• Work with mechanical systems including conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and pneumatics.
• Develop detailed BOMs and mechanical assemblies.
• Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams during builds.
• Support in-house testing and machine runoffs.
• Interface with internal teams and customers throughout project lifecycle.

Compensation

$90,000 – $125,000 + Bonus + Profit Sharing

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design custom machinery and automated equipment using SolidWorks

• Work with mechanical systems including conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and pneumatics

• Develop detailed BOMs and mechanical assemblies

• Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams during builds

• Support in-house testing and machine runoffs

• Interface with internal teams and customers throughout project lifecycle
