Job summary

ANDRITZ Schuler Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, test and refine mechanical equipment. You will create 2D/3D drawings, conduct analyses, and participate in on-site inspections globally.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, CAD proficiency (Catia preferred), and 5 years of related experience. Travel up to 20-30% is expected in support of commissioned projects across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Five (5) years of related experience preferred.
• Proficient with CAD software; Catia experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of machinery design and global standards.

Responsibilities

• Designs products such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robots.
• Works with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans.
• Uses CAD software to create preliminary and detailed drawings; Catia V6 focus.
• Produces specifications for products and selects materials and components.
• Builds models and prototypes and tests the design.
• Studies test data and compares with designs.
• Develops control systems and monitors production.
• Create and modify bill of materials in SAP.
• Provide engineering calculations for mechanical systems.
• Determine correct material specifications and tolerances.
• Conduct on-site inspections and provide recommendations.
• Follow Schuler norms and global standards.
