Job summary

Bosch International is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Waltham, MA facility to design and develop products for automotive thermal systems, applying advanced air moving technologies and in-house tools. You will prototype, test, and refine designs using CAD/FEA, working closely with a small team on cross-functional projects and ensuring robust part performance through measurement and experimentation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical, aeronautical or ocean engineering.
• One or more years of relevant work or internship experience, including laboratory or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Hands-on approach with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of part design and testing, and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of CAD, FEA, injection molding, machining, and computer programming.

Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity is located at our research and development facility in Waltham, Massachusetts. Bosch's Waltham facility is made up of 25 engineers, test and measurement laboratories, and a prototype shop, all working on advanced development projects for multiple product areas within the Bosch group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop products for use in automotive thermal systems.
• Apply new air moving technologies to application projects.

• Design experiments and apply measurement technologies to quantify part performance.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is between the range of $80,000-88,000 individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. This range does not include annual bonus percentage nor any other monetary considerations for the total compensation package. Pay ranges included in the postings, when included, generally reflect base salary; certain positions may include bonus, or additional benefits.
