Job summary

X-Factor Consulting is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a position near Vienna, GA, or surrounding area. You will collaborate with designers and engineers on R&D projects, create precise 2D/3D designs, and develop complete design packages including models, drawings, and BOMs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical engineering, 1–5 years of relevant experience, hands-on CAD with SolidWorks, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of professional engineering experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with 3D design and drafting.
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and engineers on R&D projects.
• Produce precise 2D and 3D designs and models.
• Identify and resolve design or drawing issues.
• Compile complete design packages—including models, drawings, BOMs, etc.
• Generate thorough, accurate reports and documentation.
• Serve as a technical point of contact with clients on assigned projects.
• Clearly communicate design intent, system operations, and job requirements to team members and stakeholders.
• Detect mechanical design problems early and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Participate in safety meetings, promote safety awareness, and contribute to Kaizen initiatives.
• Perform all work in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and engineering standards.
