Galloway & Company Inc is hiring aMechanical Engineer early in career to work hands-on on HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems alongside experienced engineers.

You will apply industry-standard tools, participate in design reviews with project teams and public agencies, and contribute technically to project success and client relationships. The role offers growth through mentorship and involvement in diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Basics of structural/civil engineering and architecture principles.
• Understanding of approval and permitting processes for projects.
• Able to work within project schedules and budgets.
• Able to communicate effectively within the team and with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments to develop professional knowledge using standard techniques and criteria for CADD and mechanical tasks.
• Make preliminary engineering selections and adaptations.
• Carry out portions of an engineer's broader assignment under supervision.
• Apply standard practices and adjust data to ensure coherent results.
• Conduct mechanical design calculations and sketches; support HVAC, plumbing, process piping.
• Research code issues and coordinate with city/state/county officials.
• Assist in new business development through quality work and client relations.
• Support multidisciplinary design process and growth within the firm.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments designed to develop professional general knowledge and abilities requiring the application of standard techniques procedures and criteria needed to carry out a sequence of related CADD and mechanical engineering tasks
• Assumes limited degree of judgment on work details and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
• Using prescribed methods performs specific and limited portions of an experienced engineers broader assignment
• Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations adjusts and correlates data recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related and detailed steps or processes
• Performs mechanical design calculations heating ventilation air conditioning plumbing process piping etc sketches technical comparisons and similar technical work as required by assignment under direct supervision of the project engineer
• Research code issues and works with city state and county officials
• Research design options and documents findings for project engineers andor project managers
• Takes an active role in new business development by performing quality production work to build strong relationships with existing clients

Qualifications

• Possesses basic understanding of principles and practices of structuralcivil engineering and architecture
• Possesses basic understanding of approval and permitting process for projects
• Understands project schedules and budgets; is able to work efficiently within project guidelines
• Communicates in a timely and effective manner within the team and with various agencies and other disciplines working on project
• Proficiency in Autodesk programs
• Ability to work on multiple tasks or projects
• Education Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• Experience A minimum of 1 3 years of experience

The estimated starting base salary for this role is 74000 90000
