Actalent is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design and detail custom machinery for textile and wastewater industries. The role takes projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision and reports to the engineering manager.

Responsibilities include 3D modeling in SolidWorks, collaboration with suppliers and customers, and ensuring designs meet quality standards. The position is contract to hire and onsite in Spartanburg, SC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with stainless steel sheet metal design.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
