Overview

This position pays around $45/hr - $50/hr on W2. Anyone hired may need to work on occasion at a Bay Area client site; otherwise could be 100% remote.

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in manufacturing, capable of engaging with customers and engineering team leaders, and delivering design solutions across a variety of products and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Work on a variety of products and projects, mostly in the manufacturing space
  • Interface directly with customers and engineering team leaders
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
  • Solid Edge (Siemens) experience is a big plus
  • PDM experience preferred
  • R&D experience preferred with products in emerging markets/various industries
  • Machine and equipment designs; packaging
  • GD&T, standards, BOMs
  • 2D drawings and 3D modeling experience
  • Metals, plastics, IMP, composites
  • Blueprints, engineering drawings, diagrams, client input
Additional Competencies
  • Understands startup environments and established company models
  • Excellent communication skills; independent engineer and thinker who can work with limited internal input/collaboration; resourceful; able to offer solutions and communicate well with client executives and engineering teams
