InCompass LLC in Rockford, IL, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create and support mechanical designs, drawings, layouts, bills of materials, and engineering documentation for machine tool, automation, and industrial equipment projects. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED; pursuing or holding a BSME or CAD certification is preferred.
Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Mechanical Designer position may be filled by candidates in one of the following categories:
This position creates and supports mechanical designs, drawings, layouts, bills of material, and engineering documentation for machine tool, automation, and industrial equipment projects. Responsibilities and level of independence will vary based on experience and classification within the Mechanical Designer role.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Normal office environment, with exposure to shop conditions.
The individual may be standing for periods of up to 4 hours without breaks and or moving/climbing around machines and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Travel time dependent on unforeseen field issues. Should be less than 10% of the year.
High school diploma or GED.
Pursuing or holding a BSME, CAD certification or relevant manufacturing/design experience. Candidates with 4-5 years of relevant manufacturing, machine-building, drafting, or design experience may be considered equivalent to an entry-level Mechanical Engineer.
