Job summary

Job description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Must have at least 3 years of hands on experience with CCA board mechanical design, connector selection, and manufacturing support
  • Must have at least 3 years of hands on experience with Creo and Windchill
  • Must have at least 3 years of hands on experience with Zuken, IPC standards, and aerospace/defense product cycles
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills are a must, as is the ability to produce high-quality design documentation and guide test and integration activities
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will troubleshoot manufacturing issues, support DFM/DFA reviews, define and oversee test plans, and manage board integration with enclosures
  • Cable and harness design, as well as Zuken experience, are strong pluses
  • Documentation, BOM management, and cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, systems, reliability, and manufacturing teams are essential
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Accredited Bachelor degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
