Job summary

UE Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Project Engineer II to drive design, analysis, and implementation of heavy equipment projects at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. You will develop 3D models, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and guide projects from concept to completion.

The role requires CAD proficiency (SolidWorks or Inventor), FEA/CFD familiarity, and strong communication. ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree and 2–4 years’ experience are expected; occasional

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc.) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development and testing of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and components.
  • Support engineering projects of various scale from concept through completion, ensuring they meet operational expectations, quality standards, timeline, and budget.
  • Apply company and customer standards, specifications, engineering methods and industry best practices to develop heavy equipment designs.
  • Ensure integration of mechanical and electrical systems, collaborating with customers, management, other engineers and other company departments to achieve project requirements.
  • Develop and modify three-dimensional models and two-dimensional drawings for components and assemblies.
  • Evaluate Engineer Change Requests (ECRs) and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with company standards.
  • Engage with customers, contractors, and internal and external stakeholders for timely project execution.
  • Develop and present project timelines, project updates, technical reports and other project documentation.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews with all required internal and external stakeholders, review feedback and use judgement and best practices to implement design changes.
  • Interface with shop staff and other departments to provide engineering technical support and timely resolutions to issues.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites, vendor locations, and other company facilities.

Overview

UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring a Manufacturing Project Engineer II located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127.

Responsible for development, design, analysis, and implementation of engineering projects involving heavy equipment. Works under moderate supervision to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, development and testing of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and components.
  • Support engineering projects of various scale from concept through completion, ensuring they meet operational expectations, quality standards, timeline, and budget.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoDesk Inventor preferred) and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis tools including finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Basic project management skills including scheduling and task coordination.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving abilities to address and resolve technical challenges.
  • Good attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all project aspects.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and have the ability make decisions to progress the task at hand with some supervision.
  • Commitment to work safely and follow all company processes and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc.) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders and crawl underneath trailers
  • Work in the office as well as the manufacturing shop floor
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Occasionally exposed to cold, heat, noise, mechanical/electrical fume, or odor.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
  • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
