Job summary

AllStar Staffing Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a fast-growing Langhorne, PA facility. The role focuses on designing and optimizing mechanical powertrain components, fabrications, and assemblies to meet performance and reliability targets.

You will collaborate with system engineers, draft manufacturing drawings, and interface with vendors while applying CAD tools like Inventor Vault and 3D CAD modeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with multi-axis continuous-duty industrial equipment; exposure to robotics and industrial automation.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and Inventor Vault.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; discuss with engineers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize mechanical components for powertrain systems.
• Develop fabricated weldments and machined components (frames, brackets, shafts, flanges, housings, etc.).
• Perform FEA for structural, fatigue, thermal, vibration, and acoustics analyses.
• Specify electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems; interface with vendors.
• Create manufacturing drawings and ensure conformance with standards.
• Collaborate with system engineers to implement procedures and resolve issues.

Job description

We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer at a leading company conveniently located in Langhorne, PA. This is a full time direct hire opportunity.

Job Duties Include:

• Design and optimization of mechanical components for mechanical powertrain systems
• Design and detail Fabricated Weldments and machined components which include frames, brackets, shafts, couplings, flanges, housing, clutches etc.
• Analysis of mechanical systems, including Finite Element analysis for structural, fatigue, thermal, vibration, and acoustics
• Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems
• Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
• Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications

Job Requirements Include:
