Job summary

Baader, a world leader in high-performance machines for the food industry, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for our United States team. You will drive product design from concept through installation, creating assemblies and BOMs, while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Strong SolidWorks/AutoCAD skills and 5+ years’ experience are essential. Some travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience required.
• At least 5 years designing/engineering industrial equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive design projects from concept through installation and lifecycle.
• Design new products and equipment to strengthen Baader’s market position.
• Ensure designs meet safety, industry, and government standards.
• Evaluate and provide solutions for equipment failures and manufacturing constraints.
• Create assembly drawings with bill of material.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Your future tasks will be:

• Drive design project from concept through installation and lifecycle of product.
• Design new products and equipment within the stated parameters to improve Baader’s market position.
• Ensure component and system designs conform to appropriate safety, industry and government standards.
• Evaluate and provide solutions on equipment failures, customer complaints and manufacturing constraints.
• Create assembly drawings with accompanying bill of material.

Our requirements are:

• Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• At least 5 years of experience with design/engineering of industrial equipment. Food Processing experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work closely with internal field technicians and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple tasks.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
