Job summary

Associates Systems LLC is seeking a Mechanical/Machine Design Engineer to design mechanical and pneumatic systems for industrial equipment in Michigan. The role involves producing machining, fabrication, and assembly drawings and creating complete BOMs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience and proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor; AutoCAD is a plus. Gas train, pneumatics, or hydraulics experience is favorable; a degree in engineering is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor.
• Experience in machine design (gears, bearings, springs, cam, etc.).
• 5+ years related experience preferred.
• Engineering degree is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and pneumatic systems for industrial equipment.

• Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor
• AutoCAD experience a plus
• Experience in Machine Design a plus (gears, bearings, springs, cam, etc.)

• Experience with pneumatics or hydraulics a plus.
• Gas train (assembly of piping, valves, regulators, and safety switches that safely regulates and delivers gaseous fuel to an industrial burner, furnace, or boiler) or industrial oven experience a plus
