Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and model tooling and equipment to support optical fabrication and coating processes.

You will collaborate with internal customers, manage multiple projects, and ensure manufacturability of new designs while supporting NPI lead and creating detailed drawings using SolidWorks. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, proficiency with SolidWorks, experience with PDM, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field required; advanced degree desirable.
• SolidWorks proficiency required; build complex assemblies and create detailed drawings.
• Experience with PDM and DFMEA desirable; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Self-starter, capable of managing own time on multiple parallel projects.
• Conducts and coordinates analyses to assess and validate product designs and processes.

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who will design and model tooling and equipment to support optical fabrication and coating processes.

Main Responsibilities:

• Works with internal customers to ensure clear understanding of mechanical requirements.
• Self-starter, capable of managing own time on multiple, parallel projects.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience.
