Austin, Texas | On-site
A leading technology-driven organisation is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop bespoke, high-performance hardware systems from initial concept through prototype and production.
This is a hands-on product engineering position within a specialist hardware development team. You will own mechanical designs, lead projects as an individual contributor, and work across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and manufacturing disciplines to build complex systems where thermal performance, density, reliability, and precision are critical.
The work is varied and highly technical. Rather than making small changes to established products, you will solve new engineering problems, develop prototypes, test your ideas, and see your designs manufactured and deployed.
What you’ll be doing:
What we’re looking for:
Experience designing servers, networking equipment, robotics, drones, optical systems, automotive technology, high-density electronics, or other complex electromechanical products would be highly relevant.
This is a product and hardware design position. It is not focused on HVAC, facilities engineering, building services, or process engineering.
The successful engineer will join a highly capable team developing unusual, performance-critical systems with short feedback loops and a direct connection between engineering quality and real-world results.
