Mechanical Commissioning Lead - Data Center Systems

Job summary

MSR-FSR is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning professional to perform commissioning activities on data center mechanical systems. Responsibilities include developing system-specific startup procedures, reviewing testing protocols, and conducting FAT to ensure all components operate as designed.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of mechanical/process experience (or a BS in Mechanical Engineering), familiarity with cooling systems and SMACNA standards, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years Mechanical/Process experience or BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Five to ten years related experience in the construction industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with mechanical systems i.e.-exhaust, chillers, pumps etc.
• Knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards—SMACNA.
• Computer skills required: MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning activities on mechanical equipment and systems.
• Develop mechanical system specific commissioning and start up procedures in line with design intent, drawings, submittals and specifications.
• Review contractor testing procedures, reports, and testing activities for code and regulative testing requirements.
• Perform mechanical system walk-downs and installation verifications per drawings, P&IDs and specs.
• Conduct FAT testing and verify operation and integration of all mechanical components as part of a fully functional system.
• Review design drawings to ensure equipment meets owner’s project requirements.
