NV5 is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our Mission Critical team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and well versed in commissioning, facility engineering, construction, and operations with an emphasis on Data Centers.

Responsibilities include leading onsite teams, developing commissioning plans, performing tests, and ensuring technical excellence, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of mechanical commissioning experience.
• ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree.
• Experience diagnosing construction/operational problems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead and deliver mission-critical commissioning projects with minimal supervision.
• Maintain communications with clients, contractors and project teams.
• Develop client relationships and expand existing accounts.
• Create commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, test scripts and schedules.
• Review mechanical and plumbing design documents and submittals.
• Lead onsite teams through functional performance tests of systems.

Position Summary

NV5 is currently seeking an Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our Mission Critical team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and well versed in commissioning, facility engineering, construction, and operations with an emphasis on Data Centers. Duties and responsibilities related to this position are listed below.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the technical delivery both as a project lead and technical resource for mission critical commissioning projects with minimal supervision while completing assignments that require independent judgement and evaluation.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and other project team members.
• Develop and maintain client relationships. Develop relationships on projects that accrue good will with our existing clients and collaborate with our management team to extend our existing relationships.
• Develop and manage project specific commissioning plans, commissioning procedures, checklists, test scripts, and schedules for Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning activities.
• Perform technical reviews of design documents and submittals specific to mechanical and plumbing Systems.
• Lead onsite teams to perform functional performance tests on mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Provide project management and coordination to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget and schedule.

Requirements

Required

• Ability to travel nationally up to 75% to support onsite project teams
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical commissioning and engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from ABET accredited university
• Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
• Working knowledge and experience of electrical systems.

Compensation for this US-based position will range from 100-130k withpotential additional compensation up to 25% of base salary and the per diem amount provided is project specific.NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities.
