Job summary

Faith Technologies Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead the development and execution of commissioning plans on-site, coordinating with project teams to ensure successful start-ups.

The role involves creating procedures, LOTO plans, and start-up scripts while aligning with project specifications and owner requirements. The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 3–12 years of commissioning experience, with travel up to 50% and a standard work

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 8 years of related experience or 5 to 12 years of mechanical commissioning experience
  • Travel: up to 50%
  • Work Schedule: 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

  • Works with Preconstruction Managers and Project Managers at the beginning of projects to define commissioning requirements and establish plans to complete commissioning documentation and other deliverables.
  • Assists with creating LOTO plans and start-up scripts.
  • With direction from upper-level Commissioning Engineer, completes detailed procedures and checklists to document the equipment performs to the specifications and the equipment is integrated into a functioning system.
  • Assists Commissioning Site Lead with establishing structure, training, and implementing LOTO and start-up scripts.
  • Conducts field surveys.
  • Collects and enters data to ensure that equipment conforms to operational standards and requirements.
  • Provides support material or reports to Project Managers and commissioning team as required.
  • Provides reports that documents the equipment functions per the project specifications and requirements.
  • Provides support for field commissioning activities through research and addressing needs during the commissioning process.
  • Provides guidance to office and field teams to ensure start-up activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Works with equipment providers to troubleshoot installed equipment during start-up, testing, and commissioning.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the successful development, implementation, and coordination of project commissioning plans and documents, as well as conducting on-site/jobsite coordination and execution of commissioning activities. This work is completed under the general oversight of an upper-level Commissioning Engineer or Commissioning Field Manager. The Mechanical Commissioning Engineer is responsible for supporting the creation of complete project commissioning plans, resourcing plans, and execution of commissioning activities based on a clear understanding of the owner, facility and equipment functional requirements. Plans include sequenced activities, schedules, and documents, as well as conducting on-site/jobsite execution and auditing of jobsite commissioning activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 3 to 8 years of related experience or 5 to 12 years of mechanical commissioning experience
  • Travel: up to 50%
  • Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
