The role involves operating hydraulic and mechanical press equipment and supporting the production team to meet targets. The ideal candidate should measure quickly, pay close attention to detail, have basic computer knowledge, and be able to stand for long periods in a warm environment.

• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-timeMechanical Brake Technician to work at our Waggaman, LA location. Press Shop Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining the hydraulic and mechanical press equipment.

• Operate press brake & Plate Roll equipment in accordance with the work order
• Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets
• Maintain quality standards
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment

Shifts Available:

• 6:00am - 2:30pm or 3:00pm - 1:30am

Ideal Candidate:

• Must be able to measure quickly and accurately
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Basic computer knowledge
• Be able to stand and work in a warm environment for long periods of time
• Good working knowledge of figures and numbers
• Be able to work quickly and efficiently
• Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds)
