Aerotek is hiring an Assembly Technician in Tukwila, WA for a contract role. You will build complex equipment and fixtures from engineering drawings, BOMs, and schematics, using hand and power tools in a production environment.

Responsibilities include interpreting documentation, assembling parts with attention to detail, and ensuring quality and safety on the shop floor. Team collaboration and flexibility with start times are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints, BOMs and system schematics.
• Proficiency using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly.
• Ability to operate basic machine tools in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Build equipment and tooling assemblies per drawings, BOMs, and schematics.
• Assemble fixtures and components following established procedures.
• Interpret blueprints and diagrams to complete assemblies accurately.
• Use hand/power tools safely and effectively during assembly.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly ensuring proper fit, alignment, and function.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic components as part of assemblies.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and adherence to specs.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and proper tool/part storage.
• Follow safety guidelines and production standards on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with team to resolve issues and improve processes.
