Job summary

Maverick Power in McKinney, TX is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Lead to oversee assembly of manufactured products and packing to spec. You will read blueprints, use hand tools and machines, and ensure quality and timely completion of tasks.

You will maintain logs and reports, support safety and PPE usage, and lead by example with 5S methodology while collaborating with team members to meet production goals. This role offers growth opportunities in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented and team player.
• Ability to perform basic equipment repairs.
• Strong math, reading, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that work is performed safely and that proper use of PPE is adhered to in the area.
• Leads by example through the 5S Methodology.
• Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
• Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts the materials handler if supplies are needed.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Exhibit teamwork in all you do, maintaining a positive and team-based attitude. Support peers in times of high demand by working hours assigned and overtime as required; also, comply with scheduled start/stop times and break periods for the facility.
• Ability to confidently communicate, interact, and build customer relationships supporting Maverick Power’s culture.
• Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned.
