Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a 3rd shift (8pm–6:30am, Sun night–Thu morning). The role requires precise assembly, tool handling and adherence to safety standards in a defense manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, relevant manufacturing experience, and the ability to obtain BATF approval to work on our products. On-site production with competitive benefits is offered.

Responsibilities

• Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracy.
• Operates and tends automatic and manual processing equipment.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools, jigs and fixtures.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Performs general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area to ensure a safe working condition for all employees.
• Performs general maintenance of equipment as required.
• Ability to recognize and report all operational variances as trained.

Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.

Must be willing to work 3rd shift - (8pm-6:30am Sun night-Thurs morning)

Required Skills as a Mechanical Assembler

• Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to be at work on time and on a consistent basis
• Excellent team interaction and communication is a priority for this role
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including the movement of materials weighing 5-50 lbs
• Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations
