Job summary

Woodward, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Niles, IL to assemble, install, align, and test subassemblies using appropriate tools. You will work from detailed work instructions and ensure parts meet tight tolerances. Training on first shift is provided for the initial period.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent and mechanical aptitude, plus basic hand tools and computer skills. ITAR/EAR compliance is necessary; U.S. person status may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and/or perform preset calibration/final testing.
  • Assemble, install, align, adjust and fit subassemblies and parts using tools per work instructions.
  • Clean parts and maintain tooling per work instructions.
  • Follow instructions to become certified for work performed.
  • Work with close tolerances to meet engineering requirements.

Performs low to moderately complex assembly and test.
