Job summary

Faxon Machining in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for 1st shift to assemble precision aerospace components.

You will align subassemblies, fasten parts, cut and deburr, and verify tolerances while working with basic hand tools in a team environment.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and 5+ years of mechanical assembly experience, ideally in aerospace, with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Mold Processing Support: completing resin fill, oven processing, demolding, mold cleaning, and material movement to return molds to loading station.
• Work with fasteners such as bolts, screws, rivets, nuts, helicoils, inserts, and adhesives.
• Align and fit sub and structural assemblies by installing and connecting parts, fittings, and assemblies.
• Cut, trim, file, bend, and smooth parts, and verify sizes and fitting tolerances for proper fit and clearance.
• Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers).
• Works within small team/group.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mold Processing Support: Completing the resin fill, oven processing, demolding, mold cleaning, and material movement required to return molds to the loading station
• Work with fasteners such as bolts, screws, rivets, nuts, helicoils, inserts, and adhesives
• Align and fit sub and structural assemblies by installing and connecting parts, fittings, and assemblies
• Cut, trim, file, bend, and smooth parts, and verify sizes and fitting tolerances in order to ensure proper fit and clearance
• Use basic hand tools, i.e., screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, ratchets & sockets, ruler, calipers
• Works within small team/group

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of previous mechanical assembly experience, preferably working with Aerospace products
• Ability to work with little to no instruction and supervision
• Previous machine shop work practices background preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
