Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems LLC. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for 1st shift on-site in Aurora, OH. You will assemble fabrications, subassemblies, and enclosures with attention to detail, reading drawings and using hand tools to build cabinet components and install wiring.

A strong mechanical aptitude and ability to document progress are required. High school diploma or GED is required, with preferred technical schooling.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment or transferable mechanical experience.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction.
• Proficient with hand tools and wire crimpers.

Responsibilities

• Interpret 3D models to understand assembly process and basic computer skills.
• Use basic hand tools to assemble cabinet components.
• Install flexibar and power cables as required by product design.
• Understand torque drawings and apply them properly.
• Inspect parts, materials and assemblies to quality standards.
• Report quality issues to supervisors and leads.
• Document communications with supervision as required.
• Be dynamic and flexible as work content evolves.

Position Description: Mechanical Assembler-1st Shift

Mechanical Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems LLC. will be responsible for the assembly of fabricated and electrical components, subassemblies, and miscellaneous enclosures. This role is very detail-oriented and requires preparing, positioning, assembling, and verifying parts that go into creating our products. The Mechanical Assembler must have mechanical and technical skills for this position. LayerZero Power Systems LLC. is looking for a knowledgeable, team‑oriented worker with dexterity to join our team.

Primary Duties

• Interpret 3D models to understand assembly process and basic computer skills (i.e. email)
• Use basic hand tools to assemble cabinet components (i.e. sub‑assemblies, frames, main, etc.)
• Installation of flexibar and power cables as required by product design
• Understand torque drawings and apply them properly
• Inspection of parts, materials and assemblies to comply with company quality standards
• Report quality issues to supervisors and leads
• Properly communicating/documenting with supervision as required in the position
• Be dynamic and flexible as work content evolves

Experience & Skills

• Assembly in a manufacturing environment or transferable mechanical experience
• Must have the ability to read assembly drawings and follow direction
• Ability to use hand tools & wire crimpers

Physical Requirements

• Standing for extended time periods, up to the entire eight‑hour shift
• Bending, squatting, kneeling, or climbing a stepladder while working
• Reaching above and forward at least 18 inches
• Possessing hand dexterity and installing small hardware
• Inspecting parts and assemblies

Education

High school diploma or GED required, technical or trade school preferred.
