Job summary

Aleron, through Acara Solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Wendell, NC for a temp-to-hire role. You'll assemble and wire distribution equipment, read BOMs and drawings, and use torque wrenches and hand tools to build motor control centers, switchgear, EV chargers, and inverters.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of mechanical assembly experience. The role is 2nd shift, 3:00pm–11:30pm, with a 40-hour week; may involve lifting up to 50 lbs and a background

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Location: Wendell, NC

Employment: Temp to Hire

Industry: Manufacturing

Compensation: $19.50 + $1.50 shift differential to total $21.00/hour

2nd shift 3:00pm to 11:30pm.

Schedule: 40 hours /week

What You'll Do:

• Assemble and wire low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment, including motor control centers, circuit breakers, switchgear, EV chargers, and solar inverters.
• Complete mechanical subassembly work, including steel components, parts kits, control wiring, power cables, and wire interconnections.
• Read and follow bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, layouts, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
• Use torque wrenches and other tools correctly, complete basic wiring tasks as needed and maintain accurate job records.
• Follow established manufacturing processes, prioritize workplace safety, and identify opportunities to improve assembly methods and efficiency.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly of components, structures, or subassemblies in a manufacturing or production environment.

What Sets You Apart:

• 1+ years of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical field
• Forklift driver experience
• SAP experience
• Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components
• Experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated
• Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values
• Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices
