Job summary

Pace Packaging LLC is seeking a talented mechanical Assembler to assemble complex and precision mechanical assemblies. The role requires reading engineering prints, wiring small electrical controls, and ensuring assemblies meet strict dimensional specs.

The machinery has critical dimensional specifications and operating relationships where fitting of components, calibration of operating units, alignment and/or balancing of completed assemblies requires the application of skilled mechanical principles and a broad knowledge of assembly techniques. The Assembly Technician assists with final inspection and testing of machinery to ensure equipment meets performance standard and requirements. May transport specified parts from various plant locationsAssemble complex mechanical units where a high degree of problem-solving and extreme care, skilled workmanship, and accuracy are required to meet strict inspection, testing and operating specificationsPosition, erect, align, level; position sub-assemblies, units, and separates components and integrate their operations; performs fitting, aligning, timing, calibrating, and other operations incidental to the mechanical assembly of the machine.Tests machines using prescribed testing methods to help ensure machine meets performance requirements before shipment to customer. Assist customers with in-plant Acceptance Tests of their machines.Use a variety of hand and power toolsInspect parts for proper machining finish and dimensions; checks sub-assemblies and unitsUse a variety of precision measuring and gauging instruments e.g. scale, calipers, etc., to inspect and verify conformance of parts to specifications/tolerancesStrictly follows all safety requirements for hand and power tool operation, the assembly of parts, forklift and hoist operation, and housekeepingPerforms location installation, start up, service and repair operations on products manufactured by the companyPerforms skilled fittingTrains customer personnel in all aspects of operation and maintenance of the machineWrites detailed and timely service reportsRecords accurate set up data to the equipment manualsWhat’s in it for you?There's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team.
