• Follow FIFO guidelines to process orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation throughout the shift.
• Participate in various departments/jobs/roles as needed.

Job description

Job Duties

• Follow FIFO guidelines when proceeding to the next order.
• Read and understand the order correctly to start the assembly process (Top to bottom).
• Start with the external assembly process.
• Attach plastic washers and apply grease as needed.
• Place shims, plates, and springs (depending on requested item).
• Test handle to ensure proper mechanism function; verify installation is neither too tight nor loose. Team lead can assist trainee with correct tightness.
• Add springs/spindles to the handle and make adjustments as needed.
• Proceed with assembling the inside component (repeat instructions 1–10).
• Document work on the Hour‑by‑Hour sheet with dates, times, and discrepancies.
• Emtek’s business model relies on the associate’s ability to work in various departments/jobs/roles; associates will be moved within departments/jobs/roles to react quickly to our customers’ needs.

Department Cleanliness

Maintain a clean workstation throughout the shift. Keep only needed product. Refill individual bins/shared bins.

Training Stages

• Day 0–27: Must complete 10 pairs per hour.
• Day 27–55: Must complete 15 pairs per hour.
• Day 55–85: Must complete 22 pairs per hour.

• Meet productivity goal of 22 pairs per hour.
• Meet quality goals.
• Willing to work in a fast‑paced, intense environment.
• Work independently.
• Work varied hours as required.
• Demonstrate a good work ethic.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• Walk or stand for long periods of time.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits
