Job summary

WET Design in Burbank, CA is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build, test, and prepare mechanical and electromechanical assemblies for landmark projects. You will read drawings, stage and test hardware, and use torque wrenches, crimpers, splicers and drivers to ensure high quality units before shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, robotic, and electromechanical components.
  • Read drawings, schematics and work instructions.
  • Stage, build, test, and prepare hardware and cables.
  • Use torque wrenches, crimpers, splicers, and drivers.
  • Follow procedures and test instructions accurately.
  • Maintain organized, safe, and efficient work areas.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams.
  • Support additional tasks to keep production moving.
  • Lift and handle parts safely; overtime if needed.

Mechanical Assembler

Role Overview

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will help build, test, and prepare mechanical and electromechanical assemblies that support WET’s unique and highly innovative projects. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys working with their hands, taking pride in quality work, and being part of a team that builds something remarkable.

You’ll work on assemblies that may include mechanical components, cables, lights, power supplies, control devices, and other related systems. The work you do helps ensure each unit is fully prepared before it is shipped to its final destination.

What You’ll Do
  • Assemble mechanical, robotic, and electromechanical components and devices.
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Stage, set up, build, test, and prepare hardware and cables for assembly.
  • Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, crimpers, splicers, and drivers.
  • Follow procedures, specifications, and test instructions accurately.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to support daily build activities.
  • Keep work areas organized, safe, and efficient.
  • Support other related tasks as needed to help keep production moving.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced assembly or shop environment.
  • Strong ability to use hand tools and power tools with care and accuracy.
  • Comfortable reading and understanding technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
  • A team player who communicates well and works collaboratively.
  • Able to adapt quickly in a busy environment with changing priorities.
  • Reliable, hands‑on, and motivated by building quality work.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
