Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Mechanical AIT Engineer in an on-site Athens setting. You will translate satellite designs into flight-ready mechanical hardware, define AIT processes, and lead integration, testing and tooling decisions to ensure producibility and reliability.

You will collaborate with design and production teams, validate mass properties, and drive continuous improvement across assembly and test environments to support high-throughput manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in development, integration, testing or production of complex hardware.
• Experience defining and qualifying assembly, integration and test processes.
• Strong DFM, DFA and DFT fundamentals and manufacturing mindset.
• Experience with environmental test campaigns and mass properties management.
• Experience with MGSE or similar tooling is advantageous.
• Fluency in English, strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define MAITE processes for sub-assemblies and satellites, including test strategy.
• Qualify critical assembly and test processes with PFMEA and control plans.
• Lead mechanical assembly, alignment, and verification on flight hardware.
• Own mass properties budget, CG, and launch vehicle interface data.
• Plan environmental tests (vibration, thermal, EMC) and lead campaigns.
• Specify and validate ground support equipment and tooling.
• Coordinate with design, production and suppliers to ensure manufacturability.
