Responsibilities

  • Install and upfit vehicle equipment such as toolboxes, racks, lighting, cameras, PTOs, liftgates, and auxiliary systems.
  • Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and schematics.
  • Fabricate and modify brackets, mounts, and components as needed.
  • Wire and troubleshoot electrical systems, including lighting, switches, and controls.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate service and installation records.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding job status, parts needs, and repair recommendations.

Comfortable working in a shop and outdoor environment

Shop and field-based work

Exposure to noise, grease, and varying weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and kneeling
