Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair a diverse fleet of equipment. The role involves working on aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC, and other construction tools with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, strong hydraulic/electrical knowledge, and may need to bring their own tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas) preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; strong troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to equipment.
• Work safely to minimize downtime and handle a variety of makes and models.
• Operate in a safety-focused team environment and follow company policies.
