Xcel Energy is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic Specialist to join the Mechanical Maintenance team in Boulder, Colorado. The role involves mechanical maintenance on turbines, boilers, generators, and other heavy rotating equipment at a coal-fired, gas, or steam generating station.

Qualifications

• Must complete a Millwright Apprentice program or have 5+ years in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to perform disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and alignment of rotating equipment.
• Comfort working from ladders, at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot/cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on turbines, boilers, generators, and pumps.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, and align rotating equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment; support pollution control and related systems.
• Work in hot/cold, dusty, noisy environments and in confined spaces.
