Job summary

The ComTran Group is seeking a dependable Shop Assistant to support daily operations in our busy mechanic shop. This role helps maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment while assisting mechanics with general shop tasks.

You'll move tools and materials, wash and detail vehicles and equipment, and may operate a forklift. We offer $18 to $20 per hour based on experience, weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including health and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined or comfortable around vehicles and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the mechanic shop, bays, and work areas.
• Move tools, equipment, and materials throughout the shop.
• Wash and detail vehicles, equipment, and parts.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Assist mechanics with general shop support duties.
• Operate a forklift as needed (training available).
• Follow safety procedures and maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
