Mathews Mechanical in Auburn, WA, is seeking a Mechanic II/Shop helper to assist with installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery. This entry-level role provides hands-on training to develop skills for a millwright career.

You will work under supervision, learn rigging, tool use, and safety procedures, support senior technicians, and contribute to a tidy, safe worksite. Travel to various job sites is required, and a valid driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic understanding of modern technology.
• Mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn a skilled trade.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites and work in various weather conditions.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing, bending, and climbing as required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Summary:

The Mechanic II/ Shop helper will work under supervision to assist with the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
