The Mechanic II reports to the Maintenance Manager. The Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment, conducting quality control analysis to evaluate performance, and ensuring compliance with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. The Mechanic II should possess knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
This position operates under flexible parameters. The primary goal is to achieve excellence in all facets of the role, providing high-quality products safely, effectively, and efficiently to reduce accidents and errors and increase profits.
Direct interaction with Maintenance Manager and production employees, primarily face-to-face.
Exposure to weather, noise, fumes, and dirt. Use of safety gear is mandatory. No travel required. Workload may be unpredictable, with potential for extra hours, including weekends and holidays.
Stand for up to 12 hours, lift up to 100 pounds, crouch, bend, reach, twist, walk on uneven ground, handle tools, communicate verbally, and work with visual acuity and mental alertness.
High School diploma or GED; 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance; or an Associate’s degree with 2 years’ relevant experience. Valid driver’s license required.
