Role Description The Mechanic I/II is a full-time, on-site role located in Roanoke, TX. This position is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, systems, and facilities, including inspection, adjustment, and replacement of parts. Daily tasks include conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and documenting work performed to support operational reliability and safety. The role may involve working with heavy equipment, using hand and power tools, and collaborating with operations staff to minimize equipment downtime. The Mechanic I/II follows established safety procedures and regulatory guidelines while supporting continuous improvement of maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Experience working with all types of equipment, including safe operation and servicing.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and related equipment issues.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical principles relevant to industrial or utility environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
• Commitment to safe work practices.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics or related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in utilities, municipal services, or industrial maintenance is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements, as applicable.
