Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform inspections and preventative maintenance on truck and trailer fleets, heavy equipment, and machinery. You will diagnose and repair brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other mechanical components on site.

The role requires at least 1 year of related diesel mechanic or military training, plus strong math and mechanical aptitude and the ability to work well in teams or alone.

Qualifications

• One plus year of related diesel mechanic or related military training.
• Knowledge of welding and torching helpful, but not necessary.
• Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
• Related experience and knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in repairing semi tractors & trailers.
• Strong communication skills; proven ability to work alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment such as semi-tractors, trailers, heavy equipment and machinery including brakes, suspensions, electrical, lighting and mechanical.
• Repair hydraulics, electrical and other mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and mechanical diagnosis to identify repair needs; prepare and complete required paperwork.
