Job Purpose

The Mechanic I at The Beasley Group is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of production lines and minimizing downtime by performing routine maintenance and addressing mechanical issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate solutions to minimize production downtime.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, using hand tools and precision instruments.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
  • Assist in the installation and testing of new machinery and equipment.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior mechanics and apprentices as needed.
  • Continuously monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
Education

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical training or certification in mechanics is preferred.

Experience
