Job summary

TRP Construction Group in Orlando/Sanford, FL is seeking an experienced General Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel trucks, striping equipment, small engines, and hydraulic systems. You will support field operations by keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and job-ready.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience with heavy equipment or fleet vehicles, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance of diesel trucks and striping equipment.
• Repair of small engines and hydraulic systems.
• Diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on trucks and striping machines.
• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Maintain maintenance records accurately.
• Coordinate with operations to minimize downtime.
• Keep shop clean and organized.

We are currently seeking an experiencedGeneral Mechanicto join our team at a large and growinghighway line striping companybased inOrlando/Sanford, FL.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and repairing diesel trucks, striping equipment, small engines, and hydraulic systems. This role supports field operations by ensuring our fleet and equipment remain safe, reliable, and job-ready.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on trucks, striping machines, and related equipment
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
• Work closely with operations to minimize equipment downtime
• Keep a clean, organized, and orderly shop and work area at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical experience with heavy equipment or fleet vehicles
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and requires minimal supervision

Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
