Job summary

Sydnor Hydro, a UFT company, is seeking a motivated Mechanic Helper to join our Richmond, VA team on-site. This role offers hands-on learning in water and wastewater system installations and service.

You will work with experienced technicians, support equipment setup and testing, and uphold safety and quality in a collaborative environment. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Some experience in plumbing or electrical work is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 7:00-4:30 and rotating emergency on-call.

We serve federal, state, and municipal governments as well as industrial, commercial, and recreational customers throughout Virginia and in eastern North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland.

Sydnor Hydro is looking for a motivated Mechanic Helper to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in water and wastewater system installations and service. This is an on‑site position in Richmond, VA.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with water and wastewater system installations, repairs, and service work
• Work alongside experienced technicians to learn industry best practices
• Support equipment setup, testing, and troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
