Job summary

Environmental Allies in Houston, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Civil Team. You will assist with routine repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, tractors, mowers, and automotive systems.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, knowledge of basic tools, and a valid TX driver’s license. You must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the United States, and able to lift up to 70 pounds. Bilingualism preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment and basic hand tools.
• Valid TX Driver’s License required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, farm tractors, mowers, and automotive.

• Understand gas and diesel engines and hydraulic equipment repairs.
• Keeps warehouse and maintenance area clean and swept.
• Run errands as requested.
• Operate safely according to company policy.

We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our expanding Civil Team Environmental Allies is looking for Mechanic Helper for our corporate warehouse site in Houston, TX! This individual needs to be energetic and mechanically inclined. They will be performing minor repairs and maintenance on equipment and automotive.

Responsibilities

• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, farm tractors, mowers, and automotive
• Performed tire changes
• Understand gas and diesel engines and hydraulic equipment repairs
• Keeps warehouse and maintenance area clean and swept
• Run errands as requested
• Operate safety occurring to company safety policies

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment and basic hand tools
• Have a valid TX Driver’s Licenses
• At least 18 years of age
• Legally Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions
• Bilingual preferred but not required

Physical Demands

• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to occasionally lift 70 pounds
• Must be able to load, unload, and move equipment and tools
• Continuous walking, stair climbing, and lifting
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy
• Hazards required the use of personal protective equipment (i.e. hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes)
• Will be exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts
