Job Description

Feedmill Mechanics perform routine preventative maintenance and repair for all feed mill related equipment. Conduct daily review of all feed mill equipment to ensure continuous operation at optimum levels. Adequately maintain overall working condition of all equipment within the feed mill and effectively perform all duties required for a maintenance supervisor set by the standards at Mountaire.

This position is for the second shift (2:00 PM to 12:30 AM).

Duties

• Complete all preventive maintenance, keep accurate records, parts requisitions, and inventory management.
• Inspect feed mill equipment daily, detect potential mechanical and electrical problems and implement solutions.
• Respond to breakdowns, assess and coordinate proper resources to address problems.
• Make monthly inspection of all leg belts and cups.
• Maintain required written records/reports for work performed, corrective actions and parts management.

Qualifications

• High school education; technical training in mechanics, computer skills.
• 0–3 years mechanical experience or feed mill experience.
• Entry level mechanic will be trained.
